Big Sister Practice

Olivia is so thrilled about being a big sister. (She has no clue what she's getting herself into). She'll pretend her baby dolls are "baby sister." When she sits in a cart, stroller, high chair, she asks if "baby sister" will be able to sit next to her when she's here. She already wants baby sister to sleep in her big bed with her. Its really sweet. I hope she loves real baby sister as much as she loves hypothetical baby sister.

Takes a sip of her water, and then says that baby sister is thirsty too.

She stopped every ten feet to check on the baby and make sure she had everything she needed. RIP being able to zip my coat.

Babies love to color.

This is a normal scene around our house. Dan and I change more baby doll diapers than Olivia's and they go potty way more than Olivia. You can't tell me this girl isn't ready to be potty trained.

And, lastly, strolling two of her babies, plus "Baby Braxton" aka his birth announcement.

  1. Olivia is so dang cute! I think she is going to be a great big sister. You are gonna have to keep an eye on Big Sister Oliva so she doesn't put real baby sister on the potty. I can't wait for all the stories of Olivia as a big sister.

  3. So sweet! I love that she's so attentive to the babies. Maybe you can talk her into taking a night shift or two for you :) I laughed at your RIP to the coat zipping comment. I've hit that point and am hoping scarves will keep me warm from here on out.

  5. Too funny. Lawter also is a little mama and takes care of her baby dolls obsessively, but I don't think she's got a clue what's coming her way in terms of there being a real baby headed our way! Her favorite baby doll is Koko and she gives her bottles, throws her in the big crib for naps and turns on the noise machine, "changes her diaper" and strolls her constantly. She also has to high fives her when we high five L for doing something cool. hehe If we ask her whose crib is in the new nursery she'll say it's Koko's. Of course for every caring thing she does for Koko, she also slams her down to the floor or carries her around by her head....so not sure she's quite ready to hold baby brother for a while longer.... I've been sooooo glad I bought my maternity Old Navy coat Thanksgiving weekend for $26. It's gotten enough use in January to make it worth the purchase!!

  6. This is the sweetest!! Both our boys want more babies after how much fun they've had with KC. Even my troublemaker Teague saw a 3 month old last week and made the comment of how little babies are so cute and fun! Olivia is going to be such an awesome big sister!!
