Thanksgiving 2018

Wonderful Thanksgiving with my parents in town. The girls had their own champagne, which they loved, and a tablecloth that they could color on. Emma insisted that her dinner be served on a teacup saucer - she's only moderately high maintenance.

And Sloan got to try a bite of sweet potato puree.

Four Months - Olivia, Emma & Sloan

In this mash-up, I think Sloan resembles Olivia. So sweet to watch her grow and see how she is like her big sisters.

Sloan - Four Months

Height: 25 1/4 inches (80%)
Weight: 15 pounds (60%)

Sleep: Completely sleeping through the night! The best! She also takes a pretty stellar afternoon nap for Dan, and a semi-stellar one for me. I like to think I'm the more fun parent, and she wants to hang out with me more.

Eating: She drinks 8 ounces about 5 times a day.

Milestones: Still not rolling over. She is getting better with her hands and getting toys near her mouth. Her head control is pretty good, so she's been able to use her sit-me-up seat and a little time in the exersaucer. She is so smiley and laughs so hard. She is just the sweetest happiest baby ever.

Clothes / Diapers: Size 3 diapers and 9 month clothes. She's a big baby.

Best Moment of the Month: When I noticed how much she lights up when she sees Olivia. Those two have such a special bond and it is the greatest to see.

Parent of the Month: This isn't really parent of the month - but when I took her to her four month visit, she had eaten 2 hours prior (ie not recently). When we got in the room, she just spit up ALL over the floor. I faced her to the floor, so she wouldn't get me all wet. Then I started cleaning it up when the Dr came in. He said he would help and got down on the floor. Sloan puked again - again, I angled her to the floor. He went to get more towels. She puked again. He just grabbed a big sheet and laid it over the entire floor in the room and said "well just have to mop after she leaves." He is not concerned about how much she pukes. :) And he definitely witnessed it first hand. I was mostly proud that I didn't have to change clothes.

Favorites: Sloan LOVES sophie the giraffe. She loves her pacis. We love the ones that glow in the dark. She's in the swaddleme sleepsacks that are so soft. She's too tall to get much support from the bumbo, so the sit me up seat has been good for her. And bibs. Tons and tons of bibs.

We've all agreed that this is the most fun age and we never want her to get any bigger.

Halloween 2018

This was a fun Halloween. Someone in our neighborhood always hosts everyone for dinner. This year, it was us! The weather was great, so we had everyone over in our front yard - redneck style. Our neighbor did the grilling - and we had hotdogs, sides, drinks and fire pit in the driveway. The kids all went trick or treating ALL evening.

Sloan had to head back to bed early, so Dan kept going with the big kids. They got so much candy - I had to take a few bags to work. Emma wore her Belle shoes for awhile - then eventually kicked them off and walked around in her socks. At the end of the night, she was dragging her pumpkin bucket, walking in her socks and a lady was trying to get rid of her candy. She said "little girl, do you want some candy?" and Emma looked at her, worn out, and said "no! I have too much candy!" the lady said, "me too, honey, me too."

Sloan was supposed to be a flamingo. But it was too hot for her super puffy fleece flamingo costume - so she never even wore it. Just had the neon pink striped tights and black tee shirt.
