Sloan - Nine Months

Weight: 19 lbs 12 ounces (75%)

Height: 28.75 inches (85%)

Sleep: Still sleeping well. This month she has had some rough nights about 2 times a week where she would wake up for a few hours. Crying, feeding, changing - nothing worked! We would have to bring her downstairs for one or two hours - reset - and then try her bedtime routine again. Dan was so helpful taking shifts - but we were both tired!

Eating: Still loves to eat. Lunch is her biggest meal. She eats purees, finger foods, and tries to steal anything the big kids are eating. We haven't tried much dairy with her - been nervous because it took Emma so long to outgrow. She has not done too well with meat. She doesn't like meat purees - haha, who would! But also gags on any meat we try - which makes sense because it's harder to gum.

Milestones: If we prop her up, she will hold onto something standing. Too funny that Olivia and Emma were crawling, pulling up, and walking along things at this point. And Sloan is just our chunky! School says she yells at toys to come to her. Which makes sense - because at home, when she yells at the toys, her big sisters bring them to her!

Clothes / Diapers: 12-18 month and some 18-24 month. She's wearing the clothes that teeny Emma wore when she was 2.

Best Moment of the Month: We took the girls to the zoo impulsively and that was so much fun. Sloan had a blast too! Olivia didn't want to know where we were going, so we called it surprise adventure day! They played in the splash pad (even though it was cold!) and we didn't do any laundry or cleaning! :)

Parent of the Month: Me. At the playground the other day, Olivia had to tell me 3 different times that Sloan put a rock in her mouth while I was on duty. I had to fish 3 rocks out of her mouth.

Favorites: I still use the maya sling to hold this chunker. We love our double stroller (City Mini GT) and it was perfect for the zoo and all 3 kids. Sloan loves playing legos with the big kids. We just don't have too many baby things this third time around. Mostly just toting Sloan along with what the big kids want to do, and finding things to entertain her (like an empty water bottle) while we are there.
