Dan's Quarantine Toy

Dan bought a drone for his quarantine toy. It is very loud, but has been fun to take pics. Tonight we tried the chalk butterfly, but the lighting was awful. Still fun for the girls!

Quarantine Life part 4

Caterpillar to butterfly might be my favorite craft so far. We made rock crystals. Had zoom calls with our classes, unproductive coworkers, and lots of walks every day.

The girls take turns being the line leader. And the line leader gets to choose all the turns on our walk. Totally their idea and they love it!

Quarantine Life part 3

We've made rainbow toast, with food colored milk, lost baby doll heads, made a city for our cars (where Sloan got the yellow marker and we called it pollen when she colored all over the city), juiced limes and made our own chalk that has stayed on our driveway despite multiple rainy days.

Quarantine Life part 2

We've opened the good champagne, made koolaid, raced orange boats, made snow with baking soda and shaving cream, and attempted rock candy that failed.

Quarantine Life

I honestly didn't think we'd be home this long. 2-3 weeks max. I set up activities for each day. A science project, an art project and a "creative snack" where I show them the Pinterest picture and they create it. We have a schedule that is loosely followed - mostly for order, so Emma knows what to expect and we have activities constantly so Dan and I can work from home. Everything is 30 minutes. They have movement, zoo Facebook lives, literacy, reading, math and a walk each day. They love the walk. I think it's good for me to get out and get exercise, so it has been really nice.

Each day has a theme and the art, science and snack go with the theme. It's a lot of work on Sunday nights to plan out, but so worth it.

I really am going to miss all this family time and time with my little ones when life goes back to normal. One million parts bc of one million pictures.
