Christmas 2019

We had such a wonderful Christmas. My parents, Dan's parents, and both of Dan's brothers all traveled to us for Christmas. It was so nice not going anywhere this year - especially since I didn't have many days off because of maternity leave. And was so wonderful having everyone together. Can we do this more often?

The girls made gingerbread houses and visited Santa a million times. Olivia wanted a ball pit and Emma wanted a watch. I hope their wishes always stay this simple. Christmas morning was magical and we managed to spread presents out ALL day. The last gift was opened at 6:30pm.

Sloan - Five Months

Sleep: Still sleeping through the night with a 3 hour nap in the afternoon. Still our best sleeper.

Eating: She drinks 8 ounces about 5 times a day.

Milestones: Still not rolling over or sitting. She is getting really good at using her hands - putting her paci back in her mouth. Her head control is great so she loves her excersaucer. She has also started blowing raspberries and thinks she is the coolest. This little girl smiles with her whole face and at everyone. She got to try some sweet potatoes at thanksgiving and LOVED them. And she's still spitting up constantly.

Clothes / Diapers: She is in 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Best Moment of the Month: Probably when she first tried sweet potatoes. Our ped said to go slow on solids since she has had so many issues with dairy and reflux. We gave her just a little before starting solids fully at 6 months. She lit up. She started panicking, waving her hands for more. She is our little piggy.

Parent of the Month: Probably goes to me for feeding her sweet potatoes (with brown sugar) as her first food.

Favorites: Sloan loves Sophie the giraffe, her baby mirror, her excersaucer, and her big sisters. She can just contently watch her sisters run around, scream and play all day. She loves when they pay attention to her.

She has these Aiden and Anais breathable lovie blankets that she just rubs on her face to fall asleep. And we also love having her owlet smart sock that tells us that shes breathing fine. When she was very little, we went to the lake and slept in the room with her. We could hear her choking all night long on her spit up. So relieved to have the owlet, just in case.
